This Alabama raised man started his career in Army Intelligence and after the 9/11 terrorist attacks found myself doing spy work finding the bad guys in Afghanistan and leading an intelligence team in Baghdad. It was pretty incredible!

I took the same drive for mission accomplishment into business intelligence consulting for Fortune 500 companies and I was a leader in the development of a reporting system for 2000+ Home Depot stores. I trained hundreds of business professionals on data analysis. Post MBA I was Latin America Business Manager at Emerson where I was key in driving and having P&L responsibilities over $250MM in sales of compressors for refrigeration and A/C.

I bought my first property in 2006 and leased and sold properties on my own before becoming an agent. Having been both stung and granted fortune by the market myself, I negotiate cleverly for prices and terms that are favorable to the market. In business I used valuation methods including discounted cash flows, comps, dividend discount model, Black-Scholes and a couple of these models are similarly applied to real estate, along with the cost approach. My lifelong study of valuation carries into any real estate analysis.

Buyer side services are free to buyers in most transactions. A broker bringing a buyer is paid out of the sell side broker's compensation already contracted in the listing agreement commonly 5-6% total, offering 2.5% to cooperating brokers. So having buyer representation is no change in cost of the transaction to either client. The sell side broker won't get to double-end the deal but is happy to get more homes sold quickly.
